With their win over New Zealand in the first Test at Green Park cricket stadium, the Indian cricket team has achieved two goals. India thumped New Zealand by 197 runs to make the historic 500th Test a memorable one for the whole country and dethroned Pakistan from top of the ranking charts to become No. 1 Test team in the world. Ravichandran Ashwin’s 10-wicket match haul and Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round were the highlights of overall campaign in the first Test against the Kiwis. The Indian Cricket Board is looked in a two way battle with the ICC at the moment. The two-tier Test proposal had to be withdrawn because of the BCCI, which has led to a friction between the two. Apart from this, the BCCI is not happy at the way ICC is functioning under Shashank Manohar. There is much more to read from cricket.
