Our rich features raises the pertinent question of the present society sinking into a collective pool of mediocrity, inspects Odisha's claim to be the birthplace of Kolkata's famous Rosogolla as well as remembers theatre legend Sombhu Mitra on his birth centenary. 

The October issue also boasts an original short story of wry humor, besides featuring a complete novelette dipping into the fascinating world of post colonial magic realism. Featuring contemporary poetry as well as translated poems of the great Bengali modernist poet Jibanananda Das, the issue also features the first installment of the serial novel 'Cross eyed sleep' featuring the professional assassin David. 

A retrospective on the recently deceased painter Sunil Das commemorates his life, besides opening a window into his world of creations.
