In this issue

Though seasons have been mined relentlessly by platitudinarians
to peddle consumerist propositions and celebrate exoticscapes,
their power to put you in touch with the changing phases of the
world remains undiminished. The idea of transformation that they
foreground suggests renewal and regeneration but also departure and longing.
The seasons within are occasions that often reflect the transformations without. There are emotional upheavals and
biological changes; possibilities of love, loss and restoration; moulting of skins and sloughing of memories.
