ভানু বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে বাংলার কৌতুক মেস্ট্র বললে এতটুকু ভুল হবে না। আবার সিরিয়াস এক্টিং-এও তিনি ছিলেন সমান দক্ষ। তাঁর পুরো কেরিয়ার দেখলেই বোঝা যায় গোটা অভিনয় জীবনেই ভার্সেটালিটির পরিচয় দিয়েছিলেন তিনি। আর সেই কারণেই বোধহয় মৃত্যুর ৩৫ বছর পরও ব্র্যান্ড ভানু বন্দোপাধ্যায়কে ছুঁতে পারেননি কেউ। 
হাসতে যাদের মানা তারা কিন্তু আজকের শ্রী-র এই সংখ্যাটি কিনবেন, হাসিখুশি হন বা গম্ভীর, সকলের মনেই ভানু বন্দোপাধ্যায়ের জায়গাটা কিন্তু চিরকালীন। 
১৯৪১ সে মাত্র ২১ বছর বয়সে ঢাকা থেকে কলকাতা চলে এলেও নিজের 'বাঙাল' ভাষাকেই নিজের অভিনয় জীবনে পাথেয় করেছিলেন ভানু বাবু। বাঙালির চির পরিচিত পোশাক ধুতি শার্ট আর একেবারে নিজের ভাষার মেলবন্ধনে সৃষ্টি  করেছিলেন হাস্য কৌতুকের নতুন অধ্যায়।  
ঢাকার দক্ষিণ মৈসুন্ডি গ্রামের ছেলে ভানু সেন্ট গ্রেগারীস হাই স্কুল থেকে মেট্রিকুলেশন, জগন্নাথ কলেজ থেকে ইন্টারমিডিয়েট ও ঢাকার ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে বিএ পাশ করে সোজা চলে আসেন কলকাতায়। 

বেশি দিন অপেক্ষা করতে হয়নি মাত্র দিন দুয়েকের মধ্যেই কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারি সংস্থা 'আয়রন এন্ড ষ্টীল কন্ট্রোল ' -এ শুরু হয়ে যায় কর্ম জীবন। কিন্তু নাটক, অভিনয়, স্টেজ পারফর্মেন্সএর দিকে বরাবরই তন্ অনুভব করতেন ভানু বন্দোপাধ্যায়। তাই সেই কারণেই সাথে সাথে চলতে থাকে ছোটোখাটো অভিনয়। তবে অভিনেতা হিসাবে ১৯৪৬ এ সরাসরি সিনেমাতেই প্রথম আত্মপ্রকাশ করেন তিনি। প্রথম ছবি ছিল 'জাগরণ' তারপর মৃত্যু পর্যন্ত প্রায় ২৫০ র ও বেশি ছবিতে অভিনয় করেছিলেন তিনি।

We also have a fare number of subscriber from there. We send our magazine in Chicago & Dhaka also.
