In keeping with the tradition, Desh, 17 December, 2020 issue is a special edition— Galpo Sankhya. It comprises twenty-one short stories of different flavours, from diverse genres. Authors include eminent and contemporary luminaries such as Samaresh Majumdar, Joy Goswami, Tilottama Majumdar, Sangeeta Bandyopadhyay, Sukanta Gangopadhyay, Abhijit Tarafdar, Smaranjit Chakraborty, Pracheta Gupta, Krishnendu Mukhopadhyay and Ullash Mallick. The serialized novel ‘Maanchitre Taar Naam Nei’ by Maitree Roy Moulik concludes in this issue. This issue also contains other regular sections like the serialized nonfiction ‘Naxalbarinama’ by Ashim Chattopadhyay, the serialized novel ‘Prabhu Amar Priyo’ by Nirmalya Mukhopadhyay, ‘Jiban Jerakam’ by Sumit Mitra, Mantabya, Chithipatra, Naammatro etc.

সূর্য ওঠার আগে ভেতরের বারান্দায় চলে আসেন সুচরিতা। কিছুকাল হল দেড় বিঘে। জমির ওপর সাজানাে বাগানে এই সময় শিশির জমছে। এখন অবশ্য তার পরিমাণ অতি সামান্য। রােদুর উঠলেই যাই যাই করে। একটু কড়া হলে হদিশ পাওয়া যায় না। কিন্তু সুচরিতার মনে হল, আজ যেন একটা হিমেল বাতাস আচমকা বয়ে গেল। এই বছরে প্রথমবার শরীরে কাঁটা ফুটেই মিলিয়ে গেল।
