Desh 17 November 2022 issue is a celebration of the illustrious legacy of the magazine, as it enters its 90th year. Since its inception, Desh has been the paragon of Bengali literature, commendably contributing to the cultural ethos of Bengal. A host of renowned literary figures, both past and present, have been associated with the publication. The familiarity between Desh and its readers runs deep enough for the association to be passed down through generations. Today, Desh has become more than a magazine— it is an institution, an emblem of our culture and weltanschauung. In this issue, authors Shankar, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Samaresh Majumdar and Harsha Dutta have written essays recounting their association with Desh over the years. There is an essay by Prasun Chaudhuri remembering archaeologist Nani Gopal Majumdar, ahead of his 125th birth anniversary. Regular sections like the serialised novel 'Kanchanfuler Kobi' by Masud Ahmad, Mantabya, Granthalok, Shilpo Sanskriti, Galpo, Chithipatra, Seshkatha etc. are included.
