In September, the city will then host the most dynamic race in the F1 calendar, the 2016 Formula One Singapore Airlines Grand Prix. This long weekend of racing, live music and more, held from September 16-18, is the most anticipated event of the year and should not be missed. Entertainment planned for this year's race includes live performances from Kylie Minogue, Bastille, Pentatonix and Queen with Adam Lambert, so there’s lots to look forward to, both on and off the track.

April will also be a big month for sports lovers as the city welcomes the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series to the Sports Hub for the first time. As well as the excitement of the rugby competition, there will also be a series of music events over the sevens weekend, including a three-day live music festival at Clarke Quay. With so much fun to be had, this promises to be a weekend to remember.

Romance is also in the air in February so we’ve compiled a selection of some of the best special menus available and a list of restaurants around the city that are better suited for a romantic rendezvous.
