In this issue

The beauty, mystery, and depth of womanhood with its different aspects has continued to intrigue many to this day, including myself as a woman: from simply being her gender to the qualities she is possessing, how she is viewed as part of a community and so much more. For prime examples, we have invited four prominent women from their respective industries to talk about how they lead the way during this time of change, and how they prepare for what lies ahead when “the new normal” settles in. Turn to our cover story, Angels Among Us, and see why Veronika Linardi, Wulan Tilaar, Imelda Harsono and Veronica Colondam are the salt of the society during this hard time.

Two more beautiful ladies also grace our June issue with their inspiring stories about being agents of change in their ways and generations, firstly is the wonderful Jane Goodall on the finer points of resilience and hope, two things we are in much need of these days, and also about her passion in anthropology and conservation. Carrying that same spirit of pioneering and chasing one’s vision is the young Elena Lokman who is joining a nautical trip from Perth to Cape Town as part of the eXXpedition journey around the world. I find that her research and message for a better world with no plastic pollution is what we need to hear today to create a sustainable way of living for generations to come.

More amazing stories about the role of women in Asia and beyond can be found in this issue, ranging from the women in the wine world to the activists, authors and entrepreneurs driving conversations about freedom and equality across the region, and many others. Delve deeper into these engaging reads and then I invite you to be part of the conversation in your communities. There are so much more important talking points in this issue worth noting here, but for the sake of space, I welcome you to go inside the hearts of women and see for yourself what womanhood is all about.
