今年的“世界非织造布生产商40强”名单中，一个新的名字——Berry Plastics（贝里塑料）出现在名单的最顶端。去年7月，这家生产用于个人护理及其他市场的薄膜生产商，以24.5亿美金的价格收购了全球最大的非织造布生产商Avintiv（前身为PGI）。收购主要是因为二者能在产品、材料技术以及采购规模上实现协同作用。
另外，今年我们也在这份名单中见到了三个新的面孔——以色列的Shalag Nonwovens公司、Saudi German Nonwovens公司和日本的Daiwabo公司。这反映了当今非织造布工业的全球化趋势。全世界各个地区都出现了新的非织造布生产商，他们纷纷瞄准了卫生用品、过滤、土工布以及更多的应用市场。

在医院获得性感染（HAIs）发生率日益增高的推动下，全球医用非织造布市场预计到2020年将达到100.5亿美金。在北美，医用产品对非织造布的需求预计将增长约5%，欧洲的这一数字预计为3%左右，而新兴市场目前的增长速度是最快的。在发展中市场，例如中国和巴西，一次性非织造布医用产品的使用正处于上升势头，虽然基数较小，但是增长速度非常高。生产商们也看到了这一市场的潜力，纷纷通过并购或者投资来加快扩展医用市场的步伐。详情请见本期《为医疗市场提供现代化解决方案》。
