The end of the year is here. But with the end of the year, comes INTERNATIONAL METALWORKING NEWS FOR ASIA's annual Outlook Report. The metalworking industry has played an important role in the development of most of the economies in Asia. One way for manufacturers in Asia to stay competitive is to advance up the value chain. Read the first part of this year's Outlook Report as two metalworking experts spoke about the biggest changes they are seeing on the manufacturing industry in Asia in 2015 and beyond. The December issue of IMNA is packed with three feature articles: exploring production investments, effective drilling competence, and designing sustainable energy roadmap. These editorials explore how end users can leverage the platform to create and deliver powerful, scalable and manageable applications for their production facilities and small job shops, quickly and efficiently. Leading off the exclusive interview section is Bystronic CEO Alex Waser's valuable insight regarding the Asian market particularly, China including laser technology and its impact on sheet metal fabrication. Another exclusive in the set is Hypetherm's new Asia Pacific regional director. IMNA sat down with Israel Gonzalez to discuss the company's edge and his plans for expansion in the region. Of course, there’s plenty beyond Industry News, Product Highlights and Show Preview and Reports going on in the metalworking industry, and the diverse topics covered in this issue’s columns reflect that. This has been a good year for most companies and economies. We cannot thank our readers enough for your continued support. It has been a pleasure working with our advertisers and writers, as well as expressing our own thoughts about metalworking in our Editor’s Note.
