Issue 119’s cover feature explores the fictional feminist utopia of Mai-Thu Perret’s project The Crystal Frontier (1999– ), which reflects on the real obstacles to the creation of a better world. Our second Feature is a tribute to the late Zarina Hashmi (1937–2020), whose prints and sculptures were influenced by her experiences of the Partition of India.
