Madia is one of the rare talents with this double gift, predestined to be a choreographer and director, whether it be ballet, operetta or in opera. What he presents is a theatre of pedigree, characterized by a refined aesthetic, not an empty aesthetic, an end in itself.
In this way, he proceeds with certainty through different times and styles, remaining faithful to himself and his creed: the theatre must appertain to the complexity of the human soul, of the individual who is the protagonist on stage or the spectator. Artificial sophistication is not his style. His directing is brimming with action, drawing from real life while cultivated by his 25 years of experience as a choreographer and director.

Pepe Corzo likes to invent universes, to escape from reality in order to create new worlds in which characters naturally pass through, with stories that could certainly be more soberly narrated, in a manner rather more buttoned-down. Yet Corzo is neither moderate nor conservative, but quite the opposite and even something more. He is restless in the creative process, a constant innovator, a bold inventor of parallel universes.

The masters who contributed to reforming, innovating or revolutionising the scenic space throughout the twentieth century were in a minority: from pioneers Appia and Craig to sensei such as Svoboda, Wilson and Peduzzi while in Italy we have Damiani, Frigerio, Balò and Castellucci, to
name but a few, plus a scattering of others. Margherita Palli excels among the Italian names of prominence in the field of scenography for theatre and opera performance, having happily crossed boundaries between genres and disciplines by also designing for exhibitions, events, fashion shows, and other projects. As in the most fortuitous cases, Margherita Palli is an authentic artist, a skillful craftswoman, an honest intellectual.

IGNACIO GARCIA Theatre Director.

Ignacio García (Madrid, Spain, 1977) best represents the new generation of stage directors in Spain, having under his belt awards for young directors of the Association of Directors of Scene in Spain and the first performing arts contest organized by Teatro Real in Madrid. With just only twenty-seven was appointed Deputy Director of the Teatro Español in Madrid.

The Scenographer  launches a new series celebrating the art of sketching for costume design. We showcase an exceptional collection of character-specific drawings for theatre performance, of studies in line drawings and painted figures for the creation of theatrical costumes. These designs are the foundation of any staged performance, skillful figure drawings sketched by great costume designers for feature film and opera productions.
The first volume features costume design drawings by highly talented costume designer Angela Buscemi. Designing costumes for theatre and film, Ms. Buscemi began her career early, working on the staging of countless opera productions. She has created garments for a number of musicals while in 2001, with My Fair Lady she received a nomination for Best Costume Design at the  IMTA Italian Musical Theatre Awards.

The Scenographer presents PACO AZORIN theatre director and set designer.  Paco Azorin has created over 250 sets for opera, theatre, dance and musical productions. In Spain, he develops his activities principally in theatres and for public festivals, such as Centro Dramático Nacional, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatre Lliure, Teatro Español, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Festival Barcelona Grec, among others.

The Scenographer presents: 
Cristian Taraborrelli, an Italian director, creative director, set designer and costume designer. His work ranges: experimental Theatre, Opera, concept and staging events for media, video and interactive formats and mapping.

DANIEL BIANCO (Theatre Designer)
Artistic  Director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela.

Daniel Bianco is linked to the theater world since finishing his studies in Fine Arts (theater and film scenery). He worked as set and costume assistant in several opera and theater productions.
He has been Technical Director of the Centro Dramático Nacional, the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico and the Teatro Real, and Assistant to the Artistic Director of the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao.
As stage designer, he has made several productions of opera, zarzuela, ballet and theater: El barberillo de Lavapiés, Don Gil de Alcalá, Don Giovanni, Cyrano de Bergerac, Las bicicletas son para el verano, Medea… He has collaborated with Cristina Hoyos Company, Sara Baras Company and Lluís Pascual.
He maintains a close cooperation with Emilio Sagi that began with El chanteur de México at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and then with La generala, performed at the Teatro de la Zarzuela and Théâtre du Châtelet. It was there where he also premiered the musical The Sound of Music with which he obtained one of his most talked about successes. Also, following this line of collaborations he has premiered Carmen at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Rome Opera and the Santiago de Chile Opera, Die Feen in Paris, I Puritani and Linda of Chamounix at the Gran Teatro del Liceo and I due Figaro for the Ravenna Festival, the Salzburg Whitsun Festival and the Teatro Real. He has also prepared the productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Il Viaggio a Reims, Il mondo della luna, Tancredi and Attila for the Monte-Carlo Opera. With Giancarlo del Monaco he has collaborated in Tosca and Madama Butterfly.

PAOLO MICCICHE' 
Director/Visual director/Projection designer.
He is the pioneer in using new technologies for Opera Shows in big venues.
Among the many last achievements, an acclaimed new production of Puccini’s “La Boheme” for the Opera Theatre of Lubeck and concept and visual direction of a new multimedia project produced by Rec Music Foundation in order to bring Opera and Lieder to a larger audience. It started its world tour in July 2016 with Mahler “Des Knaben Wunderhorn” at Montalban Theatre in Los Angeles coproduced with Hollywood Chamber Orchestra.

The Theatre Of Thaddeus Strassberger American Stage Director & Designer.
Fort Worth in 1963 and Auschwitz in 1943 have both been on Thaddeus Strassberger’s mind recently, but the director and designer - Oklahoma - born, London based, and a specialist in opera - exudes the same intense energy and curiosity in his engagement with Ancient Babylon as evoked in 1840s Milan. “My role has never been to invent new worlds,” he explains, “but to act as the curator of a vast collection from the whole of history and to choose the bits of our world that are right for the opera I’m working on.

Tribute To Maria Bjornson.Maria Elena Björnson (16 February 1949 – 13 December 2002) was a theatre designer. She was born in Paris to a Norwegian father and Romanian mother. She was the great-granddaugher of the Norwegian playwright Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1903.Björnson grew up in London; she studied at the Lycée Français, and then at the Byam Shaw School of Art and at the Central School of Art and Design.She designed sets and costumes for theatre, ballet and opera. She worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and designed Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, which won her the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design, and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Costume Design, and the Trevor Nunn production of Aspects of Love.
Björnson was course director for Theatre Design at the Central School of Art and Design.[citation needed] She died in London on 13 December 2002. She was 53.

The Scenographer presents MARCEL LI ANTUNEZ ROCA  (Moià, 1959) is well-known in the international art scene for his mechanotronic performances and robotic installations. 
In the nineties his avantguard mechatronic performances combined such elements as Bodybots (body-controlled robots), Systematugy (interactive narration with computers) and dresskeleton (the exoskeleton body interface).
Hi was also founding member of the international theatre company La Fura dels Baus.

The Scenographer presents HENNING BROCKHAUS  renowned director, whose productions have left an indelible mark in the history of modern theatre, such as the legendary “Traviata degli specchi” (La Traviata of Mirrors) with sets designed by Josef Svoboda. He is one of the most significant contemporary theatre and opera directors of major theatres around the globe.

The Scenographer presents IVAN STEFANUTTI Theatre Director.  He intense activity in the Opera world spreads from the usual great repertoire as well as to contemporary music-dramas. He worked as a director and set and costume designer in the most important Italian Opera House as well as in the foreign ones (Montacarlo, Oviedo, Lousanne, Dessau, Vienna, Paris, Osaka, Bilbao, San Pietroburgo, Belgrade and Budapest. 

Pier'Alli theatre director.  Born in Florence, where he studied architecture, he directed the “Ouroboros” Theatrical Company, with which he made many productions for the largest avanguard theatrical spaces.  Many times these performances were also presented in prestigious international theatrical festivals, such as, Nancy, Avignon, Warsaw, Caracas, Breslavia, Amsterdam, Berlin.
