After three gruelling months of waiting, the 2015 Wood Awards winners have finally been announced and we bring you the low-down on each winning entry as well as taking a special look at the Furniture & Product category winners. In addition to testing all the latest kit, Andy King got out and about when he attended Discover Axminster at Bridgwater College – the first education expo of its kind. We also had the opportunity to meet London-based artist, designer and illustrator Nick Toye, whose forays into pyrography are causing quite a stir, and Phil Davy found time to visit Westonbirt Arboretum to find out more about their unique elevated Treetop Walkway. Andy King looks at the Makita WST06 saw stand, which he considers to be a good investment as well as the Mast-R-Lift Excel II router system, which, although pricey, is superbly machined.
