Magazine Description

In this issue

We have a packed February issue for you, and with Valentine’s Day close by we have added a subtle touch of romance with rich colourways, accessories and furnishings. Firstly, we bring you our bedroom special, with everything you need to create that perfect haven for you to retreat to at the end of the day. We also take a look at atmospheric fires, fire surrounds and stoves this issue; perfect for staving off the chill that still lingers and snuggling up in front of on dark winter evenings. We also look at dining room furniture, focusing on table and chair options and hopping over to the kitchen we have selected some top of the range hobs, ovens and extractors. For our readers’ homes this issue we visit Ken and Janet in Greyabbey, County Down, where they fell in love with their holiday home so much that they decided to move there permanently. Further south, Alan and Deirdre shows us their beautifully renovated home full of contemporary touches in Clonskeagh, County Dublin. Lastly, Matt‘s Dublin home transformation, where he turned a series of bedsits into the stunning restored family home it is today. Our reader’s kitchen this month is Graeme’s beautiful walnut design by Celtic Interiors, with a rounded kitchen island and lots of storage. Staying in the kitchen, cook up a delicious chocolatey treat this Valentine’s Day with one of our decadent recipes from Chocolate at Home by Will Torrent, found in this issues cookbook feature. With love in the air, why not set off on a romantic break to Paris, Rome or Venice; we have plenty of ideas for the perfect getaway for two in these European cities. Closer to home, we explore Westport, County Mayo, which was crowned the 2014 National Large Tourism Town - definitely worth a visit. All this plus much more!
