With the summer coming to a close, we are heading indoors again for the cooler autumnal months with a selection of the latest sofas, barstools and armchairs as well as inspiration on how to add colour to your bathroom décor. Also, on the importance of framing your artwork, Canvas gives us their expert advice.
Our homes this month include our stunning cover home in Connemarra, idyllically positioned on the Atlantic coast of western Co. Galway, and designed to embrace the beauty of the natural landscape surrounding it. We also head to Kilkenny to hear all about Marie Nolan’s self-build home – a clever design that ensures that the view is at heart of this light and spacious modern home. Next we head north to Killinchy, a village in Co. Down, to a stunning home where the owners have given it a new lease of life, ensuring it is functional, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing. Finally, we are transported to the picturesque countryside of Ballycastle, where home owners Trevor and Bronagh’s showcase a seamless blend of contemporary design and the surrounding natural beauty.
We also highlight two readers’ kitchens which tick all the boxes in terms of functionality and design. In Co. Louth, Christoff Kitchens has given Anne and Stephen their dream kitchen with excellent storage at the top of their wishlist. In our second kitchen, Laura and Martin wanted a timeless but contemporary kitchen scheme for their new build home and Mountfield met the brief... and more!
