This issue the BCM crew grabbed another handful of really top-shelf tools and gave them a workout. Names like Paslode, Bosch, AEG and PFERD are on the list, and that speaks volumes about just how good the line-up is for this mag.
While all that was going on, we trundled out to Dural in Sydney’s northwest and grabbed hold of Matt De Bono at MD Industries. Matt’s taken delivery of an M-16U Huski mini excavator, and he is rapt. The new machine sits alongside the 5SDK skid-steer loader he has been running for a while, and Matt reckons if the new machine’s as good as the one he already has, his electrical-contracting business will be on a charge.
Naturally there’s plenty more building and construction information and insight throughout the rest of the issue, and as always, we’ve offered a little off-centre entertainment to help fill a lunch break or give hard-working brains a break for a while. For this issue I was allowed to share another of my passions: The Dakar Rally.
Dakar’s arguably the world’s toughest off-road race, and while it’s the bikes which keep me transfixed, the cars, and especially the trucks, are phenomenal in the way they cope with the terrain and challenges.
