Yamaha’s Ténéré 700 gets a thorough workout in Adventure Rider Magazine’s issue #39, on sale in February 2020.The bike is the biggest thing to happen in adventure riding for years, and this issue more than nine pages are devoted to a comprehensive review of Yamaha’s newest adventure bike.
Of course the issue is filled with stories and images from real adventure riders, people facing challenges in places like New Zealand, South America, Western Australia, far-north Queensland and central NSW. There’s even one monumental ride from Steep Point, the westernmost point of the Australian mainland, to Cape Byron, the easternmost. Not everyone made it.
As always, the issue is built around superb storytelling, beautiful imagery and well-researched information.

On sale in April 2021, issue #46 of Adventure Rider Magazine shares the story of KTM - New Zealand Adventure Rallye - King Country, as well as Australia's wildest rides, a trip to British Columbia, Coolah. It also features HART Rider Training and Husky 701LR Adventurecorn.

On sale in February 2021, issue #45 of Adventure Rider Magazine shares the stories of riders through Southern Queensland, a ‘destress’ mission to Tibooburra, a trip with Hattah Adventures south of Mildura, Victoria, as well as a Victoria High Country cruise. If that wasn’t enough, a ride through Vietnam captures the essence of what qualifies as ‘an exciting or remarkable experience’.
In this issue the Adventure Rider team also look into tyre markings and the importance of selecting the correct tyre.


On sale in December 2020, issue #44 of Adventure Rider Magazine shares the stories of riders from Western Australia across the length and breadth of the nation to the eastern states and beyond. A ride through the Himalayas to the isolated, elevated kingdom of Mustang captures the essence of adventure riding with stunning images and a nail-biting narrative, and a run through Russia hits some bureaucratic hurdles.

The Adventure Rider Magazine staff also jump on KTM’s new flagship 1290 Super Adventure R and Triumph’s 900 Tiger Rally Pro.

With the COVID19 travel restrictions making international travel difficult, Adventure Rider Magazine’s issue #43 highlights Australia’s huge distances with rides to both lesser-known and iconic adventure destinations. The Flinders in South Australia, Cameron Corner and Texas in Queensland and Nelson in Victoria are all the subjects of truly inspiring rides. Two small-capacity adventurers get a run in NSW with Yamaha’s WR250R and KTM’s 390 Adventure, and the owner tells the story of a much-loved 1990 XLV750.
Issue #43 is on sale in October.

Adventure Rider Magazine’s expert team grabbed a handful of new models and put them through their paces for issue #42. Suzuki’s new V-Strom 1050, Triumph’s awesome Tiger 900 GT Pro and Husqvarna’s fantastic 701 Enduro LR are all ridden and rated. Of course, there are plenty of adventure-riding stories from around the country, and British adventure-riding legends Lyndon Poskitt and Billy Ward are both interviewed.

As quarantine and isolation hit hard, Adventure Rider Magazine rode the deserts and mountains of Australia. From the harsh and unforgiving Simpson Desert and the majesty of Uluru to the fire-ravaged Kangaroo Island and the lush subtropical forests of northern NSW, Australia’s leading adventure-riding magazine sought out the stories and images to offer the escape and dream material its readers crave.Honda’s new CRF1100 Africa is extensively reviewed as well.There’s plenty more in issue #41, on sale in June.

It’s a celebrity overload in the April/May issue of Australia’s leading adventure-riding magazine. Long Way Round’s Charley Boorman and six-time Dakar competitor Rodney Faggotter both went face-to-face with Adventure Rider Magazine’s editor to tell their personal stories.
The issue also has rides from Bali, South America, Asia and of course, locations in Australia itself – everything from the Victorian mountains to the vast, flat deserts of Longreach. What Tradies Want, Australia’s most popular tradies’ mag, has finished 2019 with a cracking issue.
The real-world testing of the new Toyota WorkHorse range continues, with the legendary HiAce hauling insane loads of equipment and raw materials to worksites. There’s four, serious, hard-core reviews of pro tradie equipment which has been put to work, and of course plenty of industry news and advice from the trades’ world.
Aside from the serious content, there’s plenty of entertainment – surfing, four-wheel driving, fishing and plenty more.
