The stage is set for a showdown that could make or break the relationship between battling brothers Princes William and Harry.
Harry is expected to travel to the UK next month for a commemoration to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he founded.
It will be his first trip home since his sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, 42, revealed in March that she is undergoing chemotherapy to treat cancer, and it could be the perfect opportunity to heal the rift with her and William. But it could also be the final nail in the coffin for the brothers’ broken bond.
If Harry, 39, does attend the May 8 service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London, it’ll be a chance to have a face-toface meeting with the older brother he has barely spoken to in the last few years. It may also be the catalyst for the two feuding siblings to put their grievances aside and unite to deal with the heartache the royal family is currently facing, including their father the King’s cancer diagnosis.
Many royal correspondents believe the devastating news about Kate’s illness will make Harry regret some of the things he and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have said in his memoir Spare and their Netflix documentary series about her – including claims she made Meghan, 42, cry over a stand-off about bridesmaids’ dresses in the lead-up to the Sussexes’ wedding.
