Five to six small children were playing Kabaddi on the floor of the parking area. A boy said to his college friend now I will do a super raid and make my team win. This is a symbol of the fact that Kabaddi has become a household name, thanks to the Pro League. Three hundred million people enjoyed the recently held Pro Kabaddi season nine through television and other social platforms.
During the last few years, many professional leagues have been organised in our country. Pro Kabaddi League competition has overtaken Indian Soccer League in terms of popularity due to different innovative concepts, professional management, good changes in rules and impactful terms of Kabaddi, attractive attire of players, involvement of celebrities, the attractive atmosphere during matches in indoor stadiums etc. Organisers of this league have shown that they have the potential to compete with the IPL in terms of popularity.
When the concept of the Pro Kabaddi League was introduced in the year 2014, initially many senior players, coaches, organisers as well as well-wishers had little doubts about the success of this concept especially the use of artificial grounds and indoor stadiums. But the professional approach towards the game from organisers of the Pro Kabaddi League has cleared doubts of these people.
