Punjab Kings are one of the teams that have never touched the IPL trophy. The franchise has only reached the semifinals once (2008) and was the runners-up in 2014. They have failed to qualify for the playoffs for nine years and have had disappointing seasons. Their inability to find a winning formula is due to their changing team captains almost every season.
The Punjab Kings had an average season last year under skipper Shikhar Dhawan. They have retained their core players for the upcoming season, including Dhawan, top pacers Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh, and emerging talents Jitesh Sharma and Sikandar Raza.
Let’s look at 5 players they need to win their maiden IPL title.
