Naval armament and equipment are among the most sophisticated types of military equipment, and the industry’s capacity to implement a full cycle of their production is an important indicator of the industrial development of the state. Today, the Russian shipbuilding complex develops and produces almost the entire range of naval equipment.
The naval weapon systems produced in Russia are able to deliver massive strikes against enemy targets with precision guided weapons at long ranges and altitudes ranging from the earth’s surface to tens of km, reliably protecting the sovereignty of the country. They have repeatedly proved to be very effective in real combat operations.
Rosoboronexport, as the only state intermediary for the export/import of the entire range of final military and dual-use products, technologies and services, offers its Indian partners the most in-demand weapons and military equipment.
In addition, the Russian-Indian strategic partnership has always implied large-scale projects, whose implementation was accompanied with a transfer of the most advanced military technologies to New Delhi, job creation and investments in the Indian economy. No other country in the world is ready for such a level of technology transfer as Russia offers India. The strategic level of relations and the long-term friendship between the two countries have its effect.
Rosoboronexport is open to the comprehensive development of cooperation with India in the naval sphere. This includes the joint development and construction of modern ships and submarines, the modernisation of the Indian Navy’s in-service fleet, joint research and development projects, and the supply of naval airplanes and helicopters.
