THE PRO
NAME: Ian Asprey
CAMERA: Nikon Z 7/Z 6
It didn’t take Ian long to become an accomplished pro. Having asked for a camera for Christmas, his wife rightly pointed out that he should try before buying. So, he set off on Boxing Day 2018 and brought home a Nikon D3400. Soon came a D750, before the Z 7 and Z 6 he uses today. When he’s not earning accolades in photo comps, leading workshops and shooting weddings, he runs a decorating business. www.ianaspreyphotography.co.uk
THE APPRENTICE
NAME: Jason Albutt
CAMERA: Nikon Z 50
Plumber Jason first picked up a camera with intent during lockdown. Mask regulations made it impossible for him to lip-read and phone calls were out of the question. To make matters worse, the man who was once England’s No 1 deaf golfer couldn’t even visit a course. He needed to find an outlet, and photography provided. Now, he’s inseparable from his Z 50 and particularly partial to landscape photography. Luckily, Snowdonia isn’t far away. @jasonalbutt_photography
