Peters praises his Jack of all trades

HEAD COACH Willie Peters hailed man-for-all-positions Jack Broadbent as his late stand-in helped Hull KR claim another statement victory.

Broadbent was a last-minute call-up after centre Oliver Gildart pulled out of the warm-up with a knee problem.

But the Castleford loanee, who will join permanently next season, responded with a try and assist as Rovers followed up last week's win over champions Wigan by beating St Helens.

One of six teams on 14 points, fourth-placed Rovers could take outright top spot should they win at second-placed Warrington on Thursday.

Peters said: "Jack has only been at the club a couple of weeks but it was a seamless transition how he played.
