The veteran singer said taking to the Pyramid Stage late on the Sunday afternoon of the music festival at Worthy Farm, Somerset, has become one of the highlights of its line-up.
Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Dame Shirley Bassey have performed in the slot, with Shania Twain lined up for this year’s festival in June.
Until now, country star Johnny Cash has been credited with kicking off the slot in 1994.
