ROS CANTER is the best in the business but she arrives at the Horse Trials Badminton claiming her first task is to conquer a fear of the big fences.
"The jumps are huge," says the reigning champion and former world No.1.
"There's huge psychology around this competition - it can be terrifying.
"You have to get yourself in the right place mentally not to allow it to be like that."
Canter is a strong gold medal hope for the upcoming Olympics in Paris where Britain, who boast eight of the world's top-10, have major ambitions.
She is a giant of her profession despite measuring little more than five feet - the world champion in 2018 and current European gold medalist.
