On a windy Wednesday morning in Bengaluru, Mayank Agarwal enters the lounge area of Chinnaswamy Stadium and exchanges pleasantries with acquaintances, before rushing towards the gazebo. There's a sense of urgency in his gait. He settles himself under the shade of trees, and within minutes, a quintessential South Indian breakfast arrives on his table. As he delicately chops his medu vada dipped in piping hot sambar, we reminisce the epic denouement of the previous night's Ashes game the final day of the Edgbaston Test. He puts his opinion very eloquently but values the merit of alternative perspectives. And he listens intently, hardly interrupting us. "I think England should have immediately taken the new ball available to them," he opines, confessing his gluttonous appetite for sports-watching.
