South African artists are known worldwide for their creativity and contributions to the art community on a global scale. With sustainability at the forefront of many industries, it has become a buzzword that has been trending across the board, and for good reason

WEAVING NATURE INTO - MASTERPIECES

There has been a massive shift in awareness around earth consciousness, and many South African artists are using natural and sustainable materials and incorporating them into their art. This comes as no surprise as we live in a time when inspiration abounds as we enjoy a plethora of organic matter that can be displayed as art all on its own, in its natural state.

These four artists have used nature and sustainable materials to adorn their canvases in many a form.

Falko Falko (also known as Falko One - falkolgraffiti) is a street artist known in Cape Town for beautifying neglected spaces with his graffiti. His site-specific art has become distinctive around the Woodstock and Salt River areas and even his home, Mitchells Plain on the Cape Flats, as he incorporates nature into many of his visual embellishments.
