Crucial details
The tiled walls and floor add contrast to the space, with the juxtaposition of two very different dimensions. Graystone Tile & Design Studio's square unglazed tiles add a tactile element with their small scale while the larger Stukeco Travertine Ivory tiles from Stone Style set a consistent base.
With any new build, the design possibilities are seemingly endless. But for Katie Soineva, homeowner and founder of boutique interior design studio Smub, having a clear vision helped make the process smoother as did trusted teamwork, in the form of her husband, Tristen, who is also Smub's project manager.
