Know what creator content is? It’s so popular that you probably consume it regularly and don’t even think about it. Creator content is online content created by people who offer their own advice or experience. Creators are monetizing this content and driving a creator economy.
People are writing blogs, creating podcasts, producing YouTube videos and posting on social media (Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok) and sharing with the world. They have a story, facts or experiences to relate. They want to assert their independence online, maybe even cultivate a following and become an influencer.
By all accounts there are more than 47 million content creators active on the web and more are joining every day. With so much original content, people want to prove to themselves they can do it. According to InsiderIntelligence.com, “prove myself to others” is a big motivator.
Economic independence is also a huge motivator. 78% of the InsiderIntelligence.com survey respondents felt that providing creator content would make them “resilient to whatever happened with the economy.”
