THE COLLECTION REPORT - SPRING/SUMMER 2024

CHANEL

Virginie Viard cast a spell of effortless French elegance in Chanel’s Spring/Summer ‘24 collection, offering a sartorial sojourn inspired by the leisurely atmosphere of a French vacation. The runway at Villa Noailles in south France served as a canvas for Viard’s masterful strokes, with each ensemble narrating a tale of chic nonchalance and youthful vivacity. From the outset, the collection radiated a relaxed vibe, with models striding in flat sandals, adorned in slouchy tweed caftans that gently swayed with the breeze.

Bathing suits and caped faux beach blanket cover-ups seamlessly transitioned from poolside sophistication to a languid stroll along the coast. Viard’s genius unfolded with meticulously crafted pajama-inspired ensembles, where luxurious comfort met couture detailing, and denims adorned with the unmistakable Chanel touch. The accessories were a symphony of opulence, adding layers of charm to each look. Sunglasses, strands of pearls repurposed as unconventional necklaces or belts, cuffs, and fine gold chains created a harmonious visual cacophony.
