Cancelling dates at the last moment for not-so-important reasons now has a name: Only Plans

WHAT A FLAKE

There's a situation. You match with someone, chat, exchange social media IDs, and plan a date. It's the morning of the said date, and you're suddenly 'not feeling it'- you'd rather stay in and rewatch the same show for the hundredth time or read, or just meet an old friend. And, this isn't a one off. This is how most of your date plans go: Being just plans. A dating app called Plenty of Fish has coined this planning-to-cancel dating trend as OnlyPlans. According to the app's annual report, 52 per cent of singles have experienced this situation. Guilty as charged, this writer has once again done the same, a day before writing this piece. Schitts' Creek> Dinner date. Unapologetic.
