NEW DRAMA
Death in Paradise
Sunday, 9pm, BBC1
Most British dramas don't get anywhere near the milestone of 100 episodes, so it's a testament to the enduring popularity of BBC1's Death in Paradise that the sun-soaked crime series reaches its century this week as its 13th series begins.
Fittingly for a landmark episode, the case is a deeply personal one: a celebration is being held at the Saint Marie yacht club to mark Commissioner Selwyn Patterson's Warrington) 50 years with the police. The Commissioner is uneasy being the centre of attention, and when he slips out for a quiet moment of reflection on the jetty, a stranger approaches silently from behind and shoots him.
Horrified that one of their own has been attacked, the team vow to find the culprit - but the emotional repercussions of the case are set to be huge.
TV Satellite Week caught up with Ralf Little, 43, who plays DI Neville Parker, and Shantol Jackson, 31, who plays DS Naomi Thomas, to find out what's in store...
