Shiv faces fresh challenges after giving up the demon drink

Recovering alcoholic Shiv Sheridan seems to be getting her act together in the second run of ITVX’s Dublin-set comedy drama The Dry – but a host of new problems put her resolve to the test…

As the eight-part series begins, Shiv, played by Roisin Gallagher, has stayed off the booze for seven months and is working at a college. But she is still living with her troubled dad Tom (Ciarán Hinds) and brittle mum Bernie (Pom Boyd), who has moved her irksome new partner Finbar (Michael McElhatton) into the house.
