They decided to go to Fanny's shop just around the corner.
"Everything is on sale," said Pixie pony. He was carrying a small bag and told them he had bought a water bottle, a mask and a spinner. Hatty said she wanted to buy a jewellery box.
"And I want to buy sunflower seeds," said Roro.
Just then, Moxy pigeon flew by. She was also going to buy sunflower seeds, she cooed.
"You should rush," said Pixie, "All the items are getting sold out quickly." Roro and Hatty rushed to the shop, and sure enough, there weren't many seed packets left on the shelf! Roro quickly grabbed whatever was available. There was a plastic spade and rake set. Just perfect for gardening, she thought.
While walking back home, Roro looked at the seed packets she bought. Two were for sunflowers, four for daisies and one for marigolds. She told Hatty she wanted to have sunflowers for her sparrow friend.
"What sparrow friend?" asked Hatty, who was happy as she'd found the most beautiful jewellery box with shiny pearls on the lid.
Last spring, Roro had found a young sparrow named Sunny, blown by the wind, lying in her garden, all muddy and hurt. Roro gave her shelter, water, milk and seeds.
With a little love and care, Sunny flourished and soon learnt to fly on her own. Roro even made her a small house from a shoe box.
