THE ACTOR BLAME Is SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND A PET PIG FOR THE BRBAKDOWN OF HIS FAIRYTALE’ MARRIAGE
THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN

Dean McDermott is, in his own words, going to spend the rest of his life making amends for the breakdown of his 17-year marriage to Tori Spelling back in June. “I took something that was really beautiful, and I just tore it down year after year, day after day,” the 57-year-old confessed during a no-holds-barred chat with the Daily Mail. “Tori as a person is a beautiful, kind and loving soul. She’s generous to a fault. She puts everybody before herself.”

So, what did the father-of-six actually do? And why hasn’t he seen his children, Jack, 25, Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 6, for five months? His battle with the bottle and prescription pills, he explained.

During their time together, McDermott admitted he would fly into drunken rages in front of his “petrified” wife and children, only to pass out. At times Spelling, 50, thought he was dead. “Alcohol made me feel good enough,” he said, suggesting this not “good enough” mentality came down to his financial woes, and not being acknowledged by his uber-wealthy mother-in-law, Candy Spelling. “It ended up with me drinking a fifth of tequila every night, seven days a week, and a handful of narcos [prescription medications] by myself with a beautiful family in the other room.”
