WILL GH'S GREGORY REVEAL HIS DIAGNOSIS?

Since learning that he has ALS, Gregory has steadfastly refused to share the devastating news with his family members. But his hand may soon be forced by the progression of his disease.

“This Gregory, Gregory Harrison, would not be making the choice that he is,” begins Gregory’s portrayer. “But it’s Gregory’s choice and it’s not a hard one to play. I understand why he hasn’t told his sons. He’s seeing that there’s a time limit, there’s a ticking clock, and he wants to spend quality time with them while he can, before everybody starts to worry about him and before the people that he cares about, the people in his family, all start treating him like a victim, like a patient. And I can respect that. I can look at that and go, ‘Yeah, I’ve known people like that, and I’ve probably had moments in my life where I’ve [acted] similarly.’ ”
