Hollywood shuns sci-fi church and true believer stars as scandals explode
SCIENTOLOGY ON THE ROPES

AFTER years wielding influence from Hollywood’s darkest shadows, Scientology’s doomsday has finally arrived, with showbiz power players fearlessly spurning the controversial church and its true believer celebrities, entertainment industry insiders say.

Sources tell The National ENQUIRER the fame-obsessed organization — which uses stars like Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Elisabeth Moss as recruitment tools and cash cows — has been put on its heels by criminal convictions, investigations, lawsuits, celebrity defections and mounting public protests.

As a result, the church’s grasp on Hollywood’s psyche has loosened significantly — and stars are openly saying what was once unthinkable: Scientology is all about control and cash.

“The stigma around Scientology has become too much for the Hollywood set and the once-thriving institution apparently has seen members leave in droves,” a source close to the church tells The ENQUIRER.

“Scientology is still trying to lure big-name stars, but with little or no success. And without Hollywood’s backing and money, it could very well be facing its downfall. Church leaders seem to be in a panic.”

Devout Scientologist Danny Masterson’s recent rape conviction appears to be the tipping point, analysts tell The ENQUIRER.

Experts say testimony at That ’70s Show actor Masterson’s trial exposed the church’s coldblooded, controlling dogma, sparking a backlash that’s reverberated throughout the Hollywood hierarchy and incited outraged citizens to picket the faith’s Los Angeles Celebrity Center!
