Researchers at Australia's Monash University say a weekly 20mg oral dose of methotrexate brought moderate pain and stiffness reduction within months for patients enduring the degenerative - and currently incurable joint condition.
Methotrexate - administered injection via tablet or has been used worldwide since the '80s to treat some cancers and inflammatory joint diseases, such as rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.
