Airboaters for Autism partnered with Camp Mack in Lake Wales, Florida, a Guy Harvey Resort, to coordinate a weekend of activities that promoted autism awareness, acceptance, inclusion, education, and advocacy.
Due to the last two years getting called early for storm delays and previous feedback about driving conditions after dark, we really wanted to find a way to keep our after-dark light-up; while not sacrificing the safety of our supporters. Thankfully, the Guy Harvey Resort team was more than accommodating and even added activities like a Friday night kickoff at the riverfront.
Friday’s festivities, full of great food, live music and a ton of people was a great indication of how amazing Saturday would turn out to be. Saturday felt like both a well-oiled machine and a whirlwind all at once.
