It wouldn’t be too far off the mark to say that Damian, director of Human Phenomena, opposed to marriage. That is, until he realised just how much Monique meant to him. Damian met Monique, a paralegal in a biopharmaceutical company, when they were 19. “We were both working for David Lloyd and studying at Solent University, Southampton,” says Monique. “After some health issues and general life challenges, we grew closer. Eventually, we told Monique’s parents about our relationship in 2017, before moving to Cambridge,” adds Damian.
