Preparing Particles

Jason uses pre-cooked particles, but likes to give them a little extra prep.

Preparing Particles

When the weather starts to warm up my mind always switches to a particle-based approach. From the early spring mixes with hemp and various combinations including small amounts of crushed and whole 10mm boilies to ‘particle-only’ mixes through the summer and autumn. I have always believed that the Dynamite Baits’ jars offer the best of both worlds; technically and carefully prepared, but still entirely natural with no preservatives added.

I started using my particlebased mixes early in the spring, which seemed to arrive even earlier last year. I had been fishing a couple of local lakes on my club ticket which are always good for an early couple of bites to get the year off to a good start. After a couple of trips things started to come together very well for me, catching consistently on a mix that was working particularly well on one of the lakes. I think there were a couple of reasons for this. Mainly there was a healthy stock in the lake, so with good numbers of fish it wasn’t long before they were competing for the beds of particles I put out. This enabled me to get those extra bites by holding those fish on my spots with the small baits for as long as I could.
