THE WATCH TAKES INSPIRATION FROM TUDOR'S CHARACTERISTIC ANGULAR HANDS KNOWN AS SNOWFLAKES THAT APPEARED IN THE BRAND'S 1969 CATALOGUE
A HIGH-TECH TUDOR IN CERAMIC
TUDOR has launched a new Black Bay in ceramic which highlights the brand's technical prowess yet again. The timepiece proclaims TUDOR's fluency in chronometry and resistance to magnetic fields. This high-tech model has been tested by the Federal Institute of Metrology or METAS, covering precision, resistance to magnetic fields, waterproofness, and power reserve among some of the main functional characteristics of a timepiece.
TUDOR's black ceramic design and black Manufacture Calibre augment the timepiece's excellent performance. With this timepiece obtaining a Master Chronometer certification, the brand has reaffirmed its commitment to produce technically solid watches.
TUDOR takes many hints from its heritage to create the contemporary Black Bay in ceramic. Its matte-black monobloc ceramic case has sandblasted surfaces with bevelled edges, mirror-polished for an unmistakable contrast, and strong lines come together to give a finishing touch to this robust timepiece.
The insert of the Black Bay's rotatable bezel is also in black ceramic with a sunray satin finish. The unidirectional rotatable bezel is black- PVD-treated 316L steel with 60-minute graduated disc in black ceramic with sunray satin finish and engraved markings and numerals. A black-on-black dial makes up for a stunning watch face with hour markers in off-white luminescent material providing a contrast to the dial.
The watch draws inspiration from TUDOR's characteristic angular hands known as Snowflake that appeared in the brand's 1969 catalogue.
