Joanna Soh is young, chatty and energetic. You’ll see much of that vibe channelled through her fitness and wellness channel on You Tube. But there’s more to this sassy lass; she’s also focused and ambitious. Here’s how she projects her energy for that enviable work-life balance.
“I have to practise what I preach!” exclaimed Joanna when she turned up at the SHAPE studio for this photo shoot. “So, during my holidays in Australia last week, I found myself exercising and minding my food.” e articulate 27-year-old wellness and fitness coach, and You Tube personality had a tumbler filled with water and lemon slices on one hand, while the other held a DJI Osmo ready to film her experiences for the day. It’s her first magazine cover, and it is timely as she is also in the midst of launching her own online female network called HER Network. It will bring together the best and talented online personalities in various sectors ranging from fitness and beauty, to lifestyle and personal development. Let’s hear her tips on being strong and staying goal-oriented.
Plan your day
“I always start the day with lemon water and honey, followed by a light breakfast. Then, I will fit in exercise depending on how much time I have for the day. I’m always more energetic and focused after a workout session, so try to work out earlier in the day if you’re like me. After that, I’ll go through the list of things I need to accomplish for the day. Sometimes, it can be a busy day packed with meetings, workshops, events and shoots, or it can be a day where I film or edit my videos. Since I work for myself, it’s so important for me to set my daily and long-term goals in order to grow my business and constantly stay inspired.”
