We have heard you were a part of the entertainment industry few years back and now you are coming back. How were you related to the industry?

Till 2000, I was working in the film industry. I worked as an editor and several of my serials were on air ‘Ranjish’, ‘Supriya’, ‘Rishtey’, ‘Star Best Seller’, ‘Saturday Suspense’, ‘Director’s Cut’ and many more. I entered the industry in 1987. I have been a film distributor also. I was the distributor for films like EENT KA JAWAB PATTHAR and HEROINE NO. 1. I am the sole proprietor of Cine movies. In 2000, I faced a major financial crisis. All my films flopped at the box office and I almost became bankrupt. So I left the industry and I left Mumbai as well.

After a crisis like this, how did your life change?

I started my new life with meditation. It became a part of my daily routine. In that phase of life, I realized that I needed to do something for society. I used to blame others for my failure. I used to think that others betrayed me in business and hence I failed as a distributor. Then I realized that I made wrong choices in life and I was to be blamed for my failure and no one else. The truth was that it was I who couldn’t win their hearts. Had I won their hearts in those days, they would have helped me in life and supported me. There were many who I helped grow in the industry but during my bad days there was hardly anyone standing by me. When I became bankrupt all of them turned their faces away. But I am really happy for a fact that all the people I helped have reached new heights today.

From the setback you faced, what lesson did you take back home?
