Parisian decor consists of heavy mouldings, marble details, inserts of bold black and metallics in antique gold, we wanted to filter this narrative and present a contemporary take on it. We decided to balance the glamour of the old with the minimalism of the new. —Dimple Motiani and Meetali Mehta, Principal Designers and Co-Founders, 16th Avenue Interiors
The art curation is bold, modern and large in scale, while the wall panelling is elegant and delicate, inspired by a dated Parisian style. The inclusion of paintings, murals and artefacts breaks the monotony of the muted colour scheme. Having said that, the consistent and confident applications of grey and black, throughout the space, may appear subdued at first but makes the space truly striking.
