“Out of frustration, I bought CondoLiving,” is not really what you want to hear when you ask why a condo dweller picked up your magazine from the stand.

Christine is a businesswoman that owns business consultancy firm Pinnacle Sources Global Consultancy and PR group Comco SouthEast Asia. A blooming wife and loving mom, this lady of the house was disappointed with her previous contractors and designers. Indeed, one cannot expect that all design partnerships can be smooth sailing. Christine shares that they weren’t able to get what she wanted. Even citing instances that the designer and contractor would totally neglect what she asked for. “I have voice recordings, calls, and texts that state I don’t want those things and yet they still installed them!” she recalls. The renovation was starting to be a waste of time and money.

One Sunday, she went to her local grocery and picked up a copy of CondoLiving. Upon browsing through the pages, the work of interior designer Uzel Alconera piqued Christine’s interest. A couple of texts later, the designer and the client found out that they were neighbors. “I told her to meet me in the coffee shop downstairs,” shares Christine. The two hit it off pretty well. Both of them share that there was an instant click with their personalities and design preferences.“We just jived so well,” the client adds.
