A Fit & Healthy Childhood

“I come from an army background, and did both my high school and college in Delhi. From the time I was a kid, my participation was more in sports than academics, as being an army kid, sports was always given priority. From swimming to lawn tennis to basketball to skating to karate to golf, name it and my parents gave me coaching in that sport. So from childhood, healthy living was a way of life for me.”

MATHS & MODELLING

“While sports was something I was naturally inclined towards, academically, I did my graduation in mathematics, but modelling was something that actually held my interest. My dad, however, insisted that I take up modelling only after I turned 18.

“So, soon as I turned 18, I made my portfolio. And since you don’t belong to any film fraternity, the only thing you know is the ‘Miss India’ pageant. I modelled for two years and then decided to participate in ‘Miss India’.”

 SOUTH FILMS BECKON

“In that span of two years, I also did my first South film in Kannada. When I signed the film, I didn’t know anything about the South film industry. I did it purely to get some extra pocket money, hoping to earn in lakhs, and buy cars for myself… I was pretty unsure whether I wanted to pursue my career in films, but that’s how movies happened to me.”
