YOU CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT THEM, so you shoot a “what’s up?” text. Their response? “Not much.” Which is a pretty standard reply…but one that leaves you hanging?
You can steer clear of confusing text territory by sticking to messages that have a purpose. Ask them a specific question (something like “Hi! Going to Ana’s bonfire tonight?” or “Want to meet up at the trail tomorrow?”).
That way, you’ll end up with a plan—not just random chatter.
