As summer is fast approaching, it’s time to update and refresh our wardrobes with new seasonal-appropriate pieces that will inject both style and panache into our existing looks. And as we resume travel sans restrictions, it is also a great time to think about where we are going and embrace the spirit of the cities that we are visiting, by capturing each destination’s vibe with well-curated wardrobe choices.
To help us with this task, ELLE Singapore spoke to Lea Cranfield, the chief buying & merchandising officer of Net-A-Porter to find out about the brands she would recommend for three destination cities: London, Rome and Venice Beach. Read on to find out why these brands work for these specific destinations, and how Cranfield recommends styling some of their key pieces.
LONDON
London style is all about a quirky sense of free-spirited individualism, while as a destination, it offers a myriad of experiences. For this city, Cranfield recommends the brand Khaite. Says Cranfield, “Khaite has established itself as the go-to brand for polished staples that transcend seasons and trends. Its aesthetic is versatile and easy to wear in the long term — the High Summer ’22 collection offers everything you need for your summer capsule wardrobe.”
