SANJANA SANGHI TALKS ABOUT DOING LOTS OF ACTION IN HER UPCOMING FILM OM: THE BATTLE WITHIN AND HOW LIFE HAS CHANGED AFTER DIL BECHARA. VEDANSHI PATHAK TAKES NOTES
VEDANSHI PATHAK
KICKASS!

Sanjana Sanghi was paired with Sushant Singh Rajput in Dil Bechara, which released digitally last year. The actor's untimely death became the talking point about the film. While the fans praised Sushant's last performance, critics praised her true-to-life portrayal of a girl suffering from an incurable disease as well. The pandemic and the lockdown put roadblocks into her career. She bounced back doing a music video. And perhaps to shed the emo tag, took the decision to act in an all out action film called Om: The Battle Within. She's paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in the film, and has reportedly kicked major butt in it. Excerpts from a freewheeling interview with the spirited actress as she prepares for a new beginning of sorts...

THINGS ALMOST CHANGED OVERNIGHT FOR YOU POST THE RELEASE OF DIL BECHARA...

I remember being so grateful through it all. The biggest change was that all of a sudden, all the people that I look up to said they enjoyed watching me perform. Directors and actors I admire sent me messages using words like 'skilled debut' or a 'confident debut'. It just sits with you and instills such confidence. Now that I have been travelling to different countries and different parts of our country for work, getting to meet fans who have seen the film, school-going girls and boys, saying nice things about me, about my character, it all just feels like a warm hug. It's just a really nice feeling.
